Pittsfield to host housing resource fair Oct. 29

The City of Pittsfield's Homeless Advisory Committee is sponsoring a Housing Resource Fair on Thursday, Oct. 29, the city announced Oct. 20.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Center, formerly known as the Christian Center, located at 193 Robbins Avenue. It is free and open to the public.

The fair will offer resources and assistance to community members seeking help accessing stable and secure housing. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from local housing organizations and agencies, learn about affordable housing options, and receive information on rental assistance.

Participating agencies include ServiceNet, Second Street Second Chances, Elder Services, Upside413, Ad-Lib, and the Pittsfield Housing Authority.

The city's Homeless Advisory Committee sponsors these resource fairs periodically at different locations in the city with the aim of connecting residents with local organizations. The goal of the fair is to build stronger community relationships and ensure people in need receive the support and resources they deserve.
