Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of February 18, 2026

Pittsfield Zoning Board grants permit for former gas station office use. Chair Albert Ingegni, III and the five-member board unanimously approved Louis Costi's special permit to re-establish a nonconforming office at 156 West Housatonic Street under Article 23 Sections 8.4 and 8.3, with restrictions on exit direction and commercial signage applicability. In a separate unanimous vote, the board also granted Terri Stiffler a variance under Article 23 Section 4.203 to construct an attached carport in the side yard setback at 290 Gale Avenue.
