PITTSFIELD — Human Services Advisory Council heard updates from four Berkshire County agencies serving youth and families. Heather Williamson reported Berkshire County Kids' Place has reduced its waiting list to roughly one and a half months, while Maggie Steele and Hunter McCormick described Berkshire County HeadStart's 13 preschool classes serving 200 families across the county, with nine classes in Pittsfield. Jess Vecchia outlined Roots Rising's three core programs and a planned apprenticeship launch in 2027.

Shirley Edgerton and Johnyce Lanphear-Dyer presented Rights Of Passage & Empowerment's mentoring program for 18 to 20 girls, primarily from Pittsfield.
