Pittsfield Homelessness Advisory Committee approves March minutes, receives Point in Time Count briefing. Vice Chair Justine Dodds led the meeting in the absence of Chair Kim Borden. Michele LaFleur and Natalie Burtzos from the Three County Continuum of Care reported that regional weather disrupted the annual count but that enhanced survey questions on unstable housing were added to capture more accurate data; final figures arrive end of week.
Erin Forbush reported The First's winter shelter will close April 17 after averaging 35 to 40 residents nightly and serving roughly 300 people overall, with the main facility operating at full 40-bed capacity. The next Housing Resource Fair is April 9.
