Pittsfield Conservation Commission approves warehouse and issues 11 compliance certificates. The commission unanimously approved Order of Conditions 1-35 for Midguard Self-Storage Pittsfield, LLC's warehouse project on Hubbard Avenue after the applicant submitted pit testing, wildlife habitat study, and Department of Environmental Protection-approved stormwater review. Chair James Conant and the six-member board also unanimously issued 11 Certificates of Compliance for completed projects across the city, including bank stabilization at Onota Lake, solar array installation, and house additions.
Five applications were continued to May 28 following debate over a single-family home project on Cascade Street where an adverse possession claim remains pending; Commissioner Jonathan Lothrop moved unanimously to invite the city Solicitor for an executive session to discuss the permit's legality. A ballpark reconstruction at Wahconah Park was continued to August 13.
