Pittsfield Conservation Commission approves dredging of Parker Pond while denying group home application. The commission unanimously issued Order of Conditions for Jeffrey Carr's project to remove 4,500 cubic yards of sediment through controlled pond lowering with floating turbidity curtains. In the same meeting, the commission unanimously denied Guidewire, Inc.'s Notice of Intent for a group home on Cascade Street, citing insufficient stormwater data, unanswered environmental questions, and community concerns over vernal pool impact and property encroachment.
The commission also approved a septic system replacement at 399 Hubbard Avenue and continued the City of Pittsfield's drainage improvements application to February 12.
