Pittsfield Conservation Commission approves bridge replacement at Barkerville Conservation Area. Vice Chair Thomas Sakshaug, Franz Forster, Jonathan Lothrop, and Nicole Hall, with Shannon Poulin and Ted Kozlowski of the City of Pittsfield present, unanimously approved three rot-resistant Black Locust bridge replacements under hand-labor conditions. The commission also unanimously issued two determinations of applicability for minor work--shed installation at 288 East New Lenox Road and vegetation trimming at Westbrook Terrace--and continued four Notice of Intent applications, including a warehouse storage facility on Hubbard Avenue, to March 12.
A two-year extension through March 24, 2028, was granted for work at 640 Churchill Street.
