PITTSFIELD — Community Preservation Committee advances four project presentations toward funding decisions. Chair Danielle Steinmann and the seven-member panel heard proposals for Wild Acres maintenance at the city's fishing hut and boardwalk, Pontoosuc Lake Park accessibility improvements including new water access stairs, Roots Rising' Farm and Education Center on 6.5 acres with deer fencing and planned 2027 apprenticeship programming, and Williams Elementary School's phased playground renovation targeting completion by next school year. Remaining presentations including the Pittsfield Affordable Housing Trust are scheduled for the following week.
