PITTSFIELD — The Pittsfield Commission on Disabilities unanimously approved December 2025 minutes and heard from Kathleen Lambert, the new Berkshire Regional Transit Authority Director, on expanded paratransit service, same-day ride software development, and East-West Rail coordination. The Commission learned that ADA funding of $50,000 has been approved for Williams School playground improvements, though additional funding is needed. Reports covered ongoing concerns with crosswalk signals at the BMC roundabout and West Housatonic Street, as well as a pothole on North Street.

The Building Inspector visited Burlington Coat Factory after a complaint about wheelchair-inaccessible aisle widths; the store is exploring mobile rack rearrangement to improve access.
